Hello dear Musers

Five things that caught my eye this week.

  1. A lesson in writing gothic stories

I love Caroline Beuley’s post about gothic writing. She has a bunch of writing resources on her Substack that may be great for writers and people teaching writing.

  2. Sesame seeds

Am I the only person who has not thought about the sesame plant? My mate Kate El Idrissi sent me an insta post that showed the sesame seed pod and it blew my mind that it had never occurred to me.

  3. Nothing says spring like bees fossicking for pollen in yellow flowers

  4. Capturing the morning light play of feathery and amber shadows at my desk

My kindergarten painting on hessian, a painting by my nanna (who died when I was a baby), Chateau d’Orquevaux keyring and coaching course key, a string of washi tape, an amber glass jar full of collected feathers and leaves, a handpainted teabag, an early ink and wash picture of mine.
