Five things
Things that caught my eye this fortnight. A short cup-filling post for everyone
Hello dear Musers
Five things that caught my eye this fortnight as I missed last week.
Digital detox
This hasn’t caught my eye or ear, but came about because I was feeling a. It of overwhelm and too attached to my phone, laptop. So yesterday, after an early morning writing session and listening to a fabulous event with Mentor Show about healing from trauma, I put my phone down. And left it alone for a good seven hours. I gardened. Usually I’d listen to an audiobook book but I tuned into myself and realised that I just needed to have nothing in my ears.
I highly recommend taking some time off your device if you can, even if it is just for a few hours.
A Room of One’s Own
This is one book I had not read even though I had a ratty old copy. When I was in Paris, there was a book store near my hotel and I found an English copy with French notes in the margins. I loved reading this version. While reading it I rejuvenated my own room so that I had a space to write when not working.
Always part with loving words
A young man in our community tragically lost his life this week, leaving us all shaken. It has reminded me of the importance of always saying I love you when saying goodbye.
Snail mail with a gorgeous card
Nothing beats a card from a friend. Maybe this is your gentle nudge to write a letter or card to a friend x
Blossoms
The garden is at the cusp of blooming and my orchids are divine. The native ones have a gentle sweet fragrance.

Native orchids (purple and white) and inherited orchids from my mum
What caught your eye this week?
Until next time
