How is it that we are past the half way mark in January! This month is flying by, which may feel like that for me because I’ve been back at my desk since 6 Jan.

I’ve added a new part to this newsletter for those writers who would like a prompt to kickstart their writing year.

Have you got some work ready to submit? There’s plenty of places to submit to and opportunities open for writers.

I’ve done the work hunting around for places to submit so you don’t have to. I hope there is something for you or something you can pass onto another budding writer.

Residencies

The Chateau Orquevaux is open for limited 2025 and 2026 residencies with no application fee. I’ll be going there in July 2025 and I’m super excited about this.

ResArtis lists residencies and might be worth looking at if you want to write in some place exotic
